Pants, pants, pants. On the verge of having a tantrum at LoveFilm. Though I expect it is probably my fault for leaving it slightly late...
I ordered DB a LoveFilm 3 month gift subscription on Wednesday (bit last minute I know but I have my best ideas when under pressure!). I spent enough to get the gift box (including a DVD that he could keep) which I could then wrap up to give to him.
Just in case it didn't arrive in time I also printed the voucher which had the activation code so he could still download films in case the gift box didn't arrive in time.
Order went through fine and I was very chuffed with my idea.
The money has been taken from my account from my account for the gift.
I have just checked my email and love film sent me an email today at 17:15 today (Friday) saying that 'we have just discovered that, owing to a technical error, we are unable
to complete your order within our normal timescales. Rather than delay
your order and potentially cause further disappointment, we have
arranged for your purchase to be refunded and the funds should be back
in your account within 3-5 working days.'
Argghhhhh! What do I do? Should I give him the voucher I printed out in the hope the activation code is still relevant (though he will miss out on the free DVD he was meant to get as part of the gift set) or should I try to order it again (knowing that it wont turn up in time for Christmas but I will at least get a code he can use online).
I know that it was ordered at last minute (it was one of those perfect last minute inspirational ideas) hence why I also printed it out but I would rather that they had turned down my order so I could have gone out and got him something else instead.
Hacked off that it took them over two day to realise their error and then cancel the order after they had taken my money.
Just when I thought I had got Christmas sorted! Looks like I'm now going shopping tomorrow.
So should I try to call them tomorrow and give them a stern talking to or should I just give up and get him something else instead (ideas welcome for an alternative gift!)
Pants, crap and bollocks!
