it is an old sofa, but there is no way to explain to a 2 year old that it is irritating at least, dangerous at most. He has got lots of toys and we are thankfully going to playgroup soon. STOP JUMPING ON THE BLOODY SOFA!! STOP PUTTING ALL THE CUSHIONS ON MY HEAD!!

YANBU

We had an old sofa that mum used to let me take the cushions off to jump/roll about on. I don't think you can do too much damage to the actual cushion?

Allonsy · 18/12/2012 14:28

Im forever telling my large almost 7 year old to stop jumping on and off the sofa, its infuriating, ours is leather as well so cant even take the cushions off. If hes not jumping on it hes lying on the back of it, its like having a cat! I cant second trampolines as despite ds' love of jumping he dosnt like his Hmm

valiumredhead · 18/12/2012 14:37

We had no jumping on our furniture in this house, we ended up getting a trampoline which helped!

SecretSantaSquirrels · 18/12/2012 14:37

Sofas are fun. Chill out.

valiumredhead · 18/12/2012 14:37

Sofas are expensive!

SecretSantaSquirrels · 18/12/2012 14:43

When he's a teenager he will just sprawl on it Grin.

valiumredhead · 18/12/2012 14:45

At least sprawling won't break it. I have a sprawly teen too and a sprawly dh Grin

ChestnutsRoastingonaWitchesTit · 18/12/2012 14:50

YABU He's only two! At two they need to bounce, it's very U to stop him just because it irritates you and I question whether its really dangerous

valiumredhead · 18/12/2012 14:52

WILL NO ONE THINK OF THE SOFAS????

It's not dangerous but it'll break the sofa eventually!

SecretSantaSquirrels · 18/12/2012 15:22

It's a two year old's job to jump on sofas.

ChloesFurball · 18/12/2012 17:05

TBH I was being jokey not serious when I posted. He is piling the cushions on my head as we speak. We might get a trampoline though.
