Yes you could get a silverette (not a word) holder you put it out with your silverette (should be a word) nibbles tray all very 1980s

They are nestle! I have to make do with cheap imitations :(

oh I do that it is only cos i eat them all and cant be bothered to put the envelope in the bin, I got after 8s chocolates for christmas 1 year wasn't the same ,

Do Sainsburys still do their dark choc filled with mint cream bars? Those were even better than After Eights, but I try to stay away from the choc and sweets aisles...

I'm sure I remember some kind of after eight holder box being advertised on TV. It was set at a dinner party and everybody passed round the aftereights. It was meant to be the height of sophistication.

My mum also has a silver (hallmarked so not "coloured") trolley thing from the days when After Eights were actually quite expensive, and therefore leaning more towards mc....

They also become far more mc when you make Gordon Ramsay's Chocolate Marquise with them ! It was in the Good Food mag, so definitely slightly posher than average, not to mention it uses large amounts of "posh" dark chocolate alongside the After Eights.

Oh and it's recommended for a "decadent dinner party" - so it HAS to be mc .

Try it and you'll see how mc those mint thins can be!

After Eights are really horrible. I wouldn't willingly eat one. When we were kids my sister used to love them, she thought they were The Best Thing Ever. My mum would always put a box into both our stockings and my sister would eat them both. Eurgh.
