Rapist tried to escape justice by claiming he 'suffers from sexsomnia'

Yeah. Right.

Gave alcohol to a 15 yr old, flirted with her, then crept into her room after she passed out and raped her Angry and he expected anyone to believe it was all completely involuntary and out of his control?

It's a valid condition imo, though whether he actually suffered with it in this case a bit doubtful given his previous behaviour. I found it was only in the same bed that I was at any risk from my ex-partner, he didn't sleep walk he just tried to initiate sex in his sleep if there was an available body in the bed.

I was on the Freedom Programme with around a dozen other women. Almost every woman in the room had an abusive (ex-) partner who apparently suffered from sexsomnia. Hmm

It is a condition but I doubt very much these men suffer from it.

I do, in times of stress. But only if I am already naked. Poor DH has to leave the bed.
