Remember a thread earlier in the year about a woman who thought neighbour was spying on her because everytime she went to loo at night she heard their light switch being pulled a few seconds after hers. Remember being abit freaked out when i read it. whatever happened to this woman, did she find out what it was. Think she was just about to have a baby.

I remember that too! No idea how it ended!

naughtynancy · 16/12/2012 20:25

She came back to say she'd had her baby and the light issue had never been resolved IIRC

KittyFane1 · 16/12/2012 20:26

Hmm... I bet it was her light switch! :)

Fairyegg · 16/12/2012 20:28

Gnocci or someone wasn't it?

poocatcherchampion · 16/12/2012 20:29

I was thinking about that the other day. It was one of the first threads I ever read on here. Would love to know!

nannyl · 16/12/2012 20:52

WeAreSix · 16/12/2012 21:02

I was thinking about that the other day, another thread reminded me of it. Didn't get into classics, did it?

StopEatingThatMud · 16/12/2012 21:03

I remember that, it was gnocchi, who I spotted under a festive name change the other day I think. So hopefully she may come back and update...

ObscuredByClouds · 16/12/2012 21:04

ShiftyFades · 21/12/2012 16:27

Oh I remember that. It was a divided house but the other half was on the street behind, not next door...

SneakyNuts · 21/12/2012 19:18

I remember this, I'd like to know too!

I just read this entire thread because of my next door neighbor. I live in an old building and and our kitchen lights are connected so that you hear the light switch chain turn on just like she described. My next door neighbor is an unemployed guy who lives with his mother and does nothing but lay around the apartment all day and smoke on the deck. He isn't even on the lease. He has started pulling on the light switch chain at night when he sees my lights go off and continues it during the night to wake me up. I now have a fan going in the kitchen to block the noise. It is pointless to talk to him, he has already stolen a package of mine that was left in the lobby downstairs. The guy is bad news from what I heard from the people in the building that I have talked to. They even think he broke into a garage in the area, his picture was taken by a security camera that the person had up, this person posted his picture all over the neighborhood and most people I talked to in the building said it look like him. He is a bad neighbor and there isn't much you can do about it unless you move. I just thought I would post this after reading this other person's thread because my neighbor is intentionally using the light switch to bother me. He is whacking away on the light chain as I am writing this, it isn't loud because I have the fan going but even still, why would a person do this?!!

Coughle · 05/10/2014 05:47

Member how on earth do you know he is doing it intentionally to bother you?? That's a big assumption to make.

I remember gnocci's thread also, it was one of the first that I got so interested in that I discussed with dh...I think we even bickered over it!

moxon · 05/10/2014 08:12

Babylon - i think a fat thread is kinda cute. Grin

wantacatplease · 05/10/2014 08:22

I thought I missed something and "fat" was now a trendy word for "good" or "cool". Grin

kikisunflower · 05/10/2014 08:27

Never underestimate the weirdness of neighbours and their subtle weird ways of annoying you. This light switch thing is definitely deliberate.
