It makes me cringe.

Bellow it out and wobble your deep voice a bit and hey presto a whole new genre.

Yes Il Divo and Archie Boe I'm looking durectly at you.

It is shit.

Stop it. Cease and desist.

Never seen anyone do this. So can only go on what it sounds like it might be rather than having witnessed it and experiencing it.

YANBU.

I've been doing that when pissed for years and do I see a penny in royalties?!?

Daylight robbery!

greenbananas · 13/12/2012 08:51

Mm, just saw them doing this on BBC Breakfast news, and it made me cringe too. They all have great opera-style voices (if you like that sort of thing) but that kind of voice sounds a bit odd when applied to the classic pop songs they were singing.

MrsKeithRichards · 13/12/2012 10:22

Yanbu it's so boring and shit

blonderthanred · 13/12/2012 10:34

Is it to counterbalance all the women singing slowed-down rock songs in twee little-girl voices?

GoldenGreen · 13/12/2012 10:36

I came on to say what blonderthanred said! Both deeply annoying genres.

TaggieCrimbleBlack · 13/12/2012 10:57

Yes. They are shit too.

Look at meeee. All ethereal and fey. And twattish.

In my day music was good. Remember Sonia? She didn't pretend to be something she wadn't.
