Not to want to drive to ASDA so ds2 can buy 40 Santa hats.

Ds2iss involved with the school drama group, and the teacher asked him to buy the Santa hats that the group needs - all 40 of them. The school is paying, but muggins here is going to have to drive him to ASDA, in the cold, frosty evening. He has fractured his fifth metatarsal, and I have a twisted and swollen knee that I can't walk on - and I am not very keen on this millinery mission.

AIBU to be very grumpy?

Surely you can get them cheaper on amazon anyway? Get the next day delivery and school to pay you back.

They were only £1 each in ASDA - we just got back. Am still a bit grumpy, though.

Ah, well done on your Christmas community spirit.
Here, have a Wine Xmas Smile

I would be wrapping myself around a very large mulled Wine, if I didn't have to drive into Glasgow at midnight to collect dh from his very late train.

The school will have asked if he can do it and he will have said yes.

SDTGisAChristmassyWolefGenius · 12/12/2012 22:44

You are absolutely right - he did say yes - he is a people-pleaser. I recognise the symptoms, as I have them too. I am not blaming the teacher - he is old enough to have said 'No'. I am a bit peeved at him as he was basically volunteering me too. But it's done now, and I am not so grumpy any more. Though still a bit Xmas Shock at 40 Santa hats. Xmas Smile
