I haven't seen it, but build-a-bear is probably the most boakworthy mainstream product aimed at children in the first place, so that figures.

SledYuleCated · 11/12/2012 21:55

*eurgh, not Durga Blush

Or maybe Durga.

I'm sure lelli kelli must have one to beat that?

BertieBotts · 11/12/2012 22:46

Oh god yes Lelli Kelli must.

Oh, Lelli kelly, the cutest shoes
Ooh, oh, yeah they are so cute

or something along those lines wasn't it? And the free "make up mobile with PICTURES of PUPPIES!"

Yep, take every stereotypical girl interest (talking, make up, sparkles and puppies apparently) and mush them all together into one Confused

SledYuleCated · 11/12/2012 22:50

Sounds grim. It's just the simpering voice. The little girl is made to sound like a massive PFB.

Urgh... "I did good"... I did WELL I did WELL I did WELL-

Startail · 12/12/2012 00:35

Yes that is an awful advert.

However, our build a bear bears and their collection of clothing have been played with far more and have long out lasted any other dolls.

Barbies went in the bin, their hair frized and their clothes ripped. Baby dolls got grubby and were declared babyish

The builder bear bears clothes are large and DDs can do them themselves and the bears are huggy.

OK I am biased I do have my own.

But in the world of toys this house votes for playmobil, brio and builder bears as having been worth their money.

(I'd vote lego, but the philistine DDs don't like it).

SledYuleCated · 12/12/2012 07:21

I may have a couple of bears of my own

Our Brownies love them. But the advert is horrendous. Needlessly so!

No, the worst is the new toys R us advert. What was wrong with 'there's a magical place, we're on our way there' ??
Why has it now been replaced with some bad sounding Americanised rap with 'cause baby I wanna be a toys R us kid' ?!?!!!

SledYuleCated · 12/12/2012 18:30

Oh I forgot that one. The Crap Rap sounds particularly bad sung by an adult female. You've already grown up Xmas Confused
