I have theeeee most gorgeous green dress for friday night! Just tried it on...and its bloody tight. It only tight in the silk band that sits under the boobs/top of the stomach.

Any suggestions on stretching the band? Or do i just breathe in all night, and maybe not sit down? Grin

Have you got any of those control pants? (I was going to type suck-'em-in pants before I remembered what they were actually called...) They're normally tight enough to reduce your tummy just enough to get away with tight dresses.

You can get bras that have a hook-and-eye band expanding down midway between your boobs and your belly button, they might give you a bit of a smoother line? I got one in Debenhams recently so don't think they're very unusual?

[please insert earnest feminist lecture about feeling confident whatever you wear, etc. etc. But just in case you don't, this might work!]
