to fill the DC's advent house with chewy vitamins?

And tell them rhey are sweets?

It's a house, with windows, it's adorable (I nearly bought 4 Wink), but the windows are too small for 4 Celebrations type things, and Maltesesers roll out.

So.

Cunning plan - use the vitamins - sticky and unrolly.

Beneficial and practical.

They're not the fushoil ones, btw, that would be BeyondThePale.

Nah. Use cod liver oil ones. That'll put them off sweeties for life and be very tooth-kind.

I like your style.

Good idea if they are young enough to fall for your deception.

Or try skittles?!

baublesandbaileys · 05/12/2012 19:09

yes, I know you thought this would be light hearted but it is totally irresponsible actually unless the advent calender was to be kept high out of their reach/ in the medicine cupboard

who HASN'T sneakily eaten ahead on their advent calenders? what if they did that with their vits and ate 10 at once?

YoucanringmySleighBells · 05/12/2012 19:16

Wow - that is the exact way to suck the joy out of Christmas for a child
Xmas Shock

Advent calendars do not generally poisen otherwise healthy children.

Here - take a chill pill

HoneyDragon · 05/12/2012 19:19

Aren't the Chaotics too old to fall for that?

If Gummy Vitamins fit than so will Rowntrees Randoms.

healstorturepeople · 05/12/2012 19:21

YABU. Just don't give an advent calandar if you don't want them to have sweets. You are the parent. I also hate it when parents call raisens and grapes sweets!

12ylnon · 05/12/2012 19:22

DS is 6 and i think he'd love this- might do it next year. He stands in boots BEGGING me for the chewy vits. They're tasty, i don't blame him.

doyouwantfrieswiththat · 05/12/2012 19:23

I like it , very cunning. The small fries are very partial to strawberry chewy vits, they are a reward (one a day of course) in this house, we like to keep there expectations low

SaintNiChaolas · 05/12/2012 19:23

SIOB.

Irresponsible?

I have heard EVERYFIN now!

and the word lighthearted is banned

I soooo hope this is not serious Xmas Shock

Piffyonarock · 05/12/2012 19:37

I incentivise my two to get dressed with the promise of chewy vits. They want two some days, but strict mummy says "only one a day".

However, am having to fill each drawer of their advent calendars daily once they are dressed and ready, as they will go to huge mountaineering type lengths to get at them while I'm not looking. Last year they emptied the lot at least three times before I had to put them on the high shelf. Xmas Smile
