Right, hands up ... anyone who suffered from HG, how many of you were asked if you had tried ginger biscuits? And how many of those helpful people did you punch?

I didn't actualy suffer HG, but did have fairly bad sickness with my twins. I did try ginger biscuits, they gave me heartburn. So I used fresh ginger and garlic, which helped. I was unbelievably lucky with my healthcare professionals, I was abroad so things worked differently, but boy was I lucky with my choices, no-one made any suggestions that made me want to kill that was OH and they were genuinely helpfull, mostly.

I can't imagine the nausea continuing through the whole pregnancy, mine stopped around 5 months, it must be unbelievably draining.

I still maintain that which ever bloke it was who called it "morning" sickness has clearly never been pregnantHmm

Adora Draining doesn't cover it :( I was in floods of tears begging the doctors to induce me by the end. I was even under the care of the hospital psych team as I was suicidal. It was horrific.

This post makes me want to puke! I'm currently 8 weeks with hG, on meds. Nothing helps! As for ginger?? Wtf! If I had energy I would punch the idiots who suggest that but im unfortunately bed bound, signed off work and think there may be s possibility of me dying soon. :( I hate hG!!!!! It's put me off having another child!!!

No HG but bad MS all three times. The last person who suggested ginger in any shape or form did indeed get told to fuck off.
Ditto the idiots with all the 'advice' about heartburn. Just hook me up to the mucogel and leave me to it!!

If I had been able to get to the kitchen and out of the bathroom I would have happily stabbed the next person to offer ginger crap!

I did throw toilet rolls at dh who dared to offer me a subway sandwich

I was once advised to try warm milk and lemonade.
I was so desperate that I did.
Big mistake.
Warm, curdled fizzy milk is so not pleasant on its return journey

Maybe we should have a new smiley. A ginger biscuit for when someone tries to give you unwanted advice. A fuck off and mind your own business emoticon

The only thing I found that helped was coke, even then I only managed to keep food down for an hour or so before it came back

It was Schweppes lemonade for me. I usually love Coca Cola but couldn't hack it when had hyperemesis
