DP is away. DD is 7 and DS is 4 months and teething. I did school run by bus and it took ages to come all 4 times and it was freezing. I've got a trapped nerve in my shoulder, a headahc and sickness probably caused by being hit on the head by a car boot latch on Thursday (boot door rebounded on spring and hi me hard on head), a sore throat a cough, shivers and general aches and pains. Thanks to being ill in pregnancy I've not had a full nights sleep since May.

AIBU to want to phone DP tell him to come home, express some milk for DS, book into a hotel, order room service of hot toddy and lemsip and then sleep all night?

I know its completely unrealistic and whatI really needto do is cook supper, bath DCs, read bed time story to dd, feed DS, try to sleep and wake up every hour or so through the night before getting up toget dd to school

Sigh sorry for the long whinge I know I'm in a good situation compared to lots of people

whinge whinge whinge Grin

whats a hot toddy

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 03/12/2012 17:16

Hot whiskey.... Good for the soul and what ails you
Stormforce.... {hugs} and definitely have the hot toddy, 2 out of three might go a ways to helping you feel better.

how about having some formula for baby so your DP can do all the night feeds ( don't know if it is possibe to give a breatfed baby formula) just so you can get a full night sleep.

i feel for you over 7 months with little sleep must be extremly hard work

thanks maybe I will have hot toddy think I have some whiskey

mcchristmaspants lovely idea but dp is 250 miles away so may as well stick to breastfeeding for now -at least I dont have to get out of bed to make it Xmas Smile

^ Shock no formula. Expressing and giving to DP is better. Shame that he is away, that must be tough. Suddenly I don't feel so bad that DH had to work until 7 tonight when all three DC have a cold and so do I.

Well done you for being strong and getting through it, you're braver than me! The hotel sounds good though, I have to admit..

there's always someone in a worse situation Santa. DD's friends mum has a 7 year old, 3 year old and 1 year old and husband on active service in Afghanistan. I look at her and feel so lucky.

Hope you all get over your colds soon its miserable being achy and snotty ;(

the hotel will remain a fantasy!
