and after compensation

idiots

They were feeding dolphins at SeaWorld.

A dolphin nipped their DD

Now they say they "felt helpless" Hmm

It was a nip. On the video the child can clearly be heard telling her Dad she doesn't want to hold her hand out for him to film it.

He is more concerned with getting it on camera than with his DDs well-being.

Dolphins are animals. With teeth.

They are idiots. With camcorders.

Sea animals belong in the sea.
Thank goodness wild animals have been banned from the Circus. Especially heart rending was seeing the elephants swaying in chains, with traumatised expressions in their eyes.

The sanctuaries for endangered Orangutangs, living on small islands in groups, is a wonderful idea - and amazing as in their natural habitat which is rapidly disappearing, they live solitary lives, but are adapting well to social grouping.
Nothing to do with the OPs thread, though

I'm with the people saying that Sea World and its ilk should be shut down regardless of some girl with twatish parents getting her hand bitten.

It is barbaric to take these intelligent animals out of the sea and away from their families (they do have families) and them keep them in such unnatural conditions to make them perform for pointless entertainment. I hate it.

A donkey nipped me at a farm the other day. I thought "Oh shit how embarrasing, I should have been more careful" and then forgot about it. As any normal, responsible, anyone not just after compo person would have done.

Hattie23 · 03/12/2012 18:46

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

OnwardBound · 03/12/2012 18:56

If I was that girl I would sue the arse off my parents.

"Put your arm out, we just want to get it on camera, we won't show anyone...", yep just post it on youtube for the entire world to see!

That seems to me a clear case of misrepresentation and it's also caught on film.

Sue them for everything they're worth!!!

FrustratedSycamoreSnowflake · 03/12/2012 18:56

The dolphin didn't go for her, it went for her tray. Therefore if she'd kept to instructions and not waved it around it wouldn't have gone for it. People are always looking to blame someone else when things go wrong. "Where there's blame there's a claim" culture abdicates personal responsibility.

Catsdontcare · 03/12/2012 19:36

I fell over a dolphin once in oz, little bastard snuck up behind me.

I agree though that the time has come to stop show casing these animals in theme parks.
