To wonder what I did to deserve playmobil torture this morning?

I don't think I'm destined to love the stuff as much as I can see play value exuding from every bit. Are we the only ones who can't get it to stay together? Today I have spent an hour remaking the safari set with dd2 undoing it as I go along. Luckily ds is having a lovely eclectic pirate/police/safari adventure. Would I be wrong to superglue the joints? Had to pause to mumsnet before I swore!

Oh god-now I really want to weep! Just looking for a picture online so I can slot the last bits in place and work out what belongs to the pirate island. What comes up is a you tube clip where a ten year old has not only got a fully functioning set of playmobil safari but has created an animated short with actual story line! Help!

I would superglue them. I am about to superglue some lego pieces now!!
Bloody things.

Brycie · 03/12/2012 11:15

Let them do their own thing except eating it. I don't htink any of our lego ever looked like anything on the box Grin

Petsinmypudenda · 03/12/2012 11:17

You do realise the second you finish building it the. Children will lose all interest in it for at least 6 months. Xmas Grin

GrinchAnInch · 03/12/2012 11:22

Noooo don't glue it, my ds spends hours making the playmobil clinic into lots of different things (it hasn't been a clinic since the first day it was put together) and the same with lego, he likes to help build what's on the box then he modifies it Grin

Molehillmountain · 03/12/2012 11:28

If I don't let them eat it I'll have no one to blame but myself for the lost bits Wink

Face it molehill - you want to put the child in front of Cbeebies and build it in peace. Admit it.

Molehillmountain · 03/12/2012 11:35

The first bit at least is true Grin

My mum bought DS the knight's castle for Christmas. Not a normal sized one, oh no, the biggest bloody one they make. Absolutely no regard to the size room he has. The damn thing is so big he can't play with it except in sections. It makes me Grrrrr whenever I see it.
