I fucking love b&m!
One just opened near us and i went on friday, the sheer mount of Christmas tat was amazing, my trolley was full in about 4 minutes.

Wouldn't go on a weekend though. Mind you i wont even go shopping in town on the weekend.

BikeRunSki · 03/12/2012 10:52

Is it worse than Ikea on a wet weekend?

OwlLady · 03/12/2012 10:56

yes, it was worse than ikea and some of the aisles smelt of farts, as I said the poor staff...

it is fab though, but never again on a weekend :o I got four carrier bags full of stuff for less than £20. Advent calendars were 50p ea (Cadburys)

I love B & M - trick is to visit as soon as it opens, still madness but slightly less crowded madness

oh and watch the sell by dates on the crisps - I can still taste the aftertaste the out of date Frazzles left

TuftyFinch · 03/12/2012 11:00

What's b and m?

OwlLady · 03/12/2012 11:01

it's a bit like woolworths tufty but with more food and a garden centre

I think there are smaller branches that just sell food too, but I am not sure

Ooh, how exciting. I don't think we have them here, I look on Internet. Love a bit of tat. We've got ESK which I think is similar.

YANBU!!! Our one is next door to Home Bargains.....the traffic getting onto the retail estate bit is dreadful enough but then when you actually get into the shop..........Shock

dexter73 · 03/12/2012 12:10

I went into our B&M once - that was enough for me!

itsatrap · 03/12/2012 12:19

I love b&m too! Totally irrelevant to the thread but feel I have to share. I was in the store last week and they had a 4 can pack of Stella cidre that had one can missing. The price had been reduced from £3.99 to £3.75! Gave me a chuckle!

gloomywinters2 · 03/12/2012 12:45

i,m always in b&m bought most of my pictures for the walls there if you haven,t loads a money great way to make your house look nice. love the big chunky cadburys caramel and the 6 cans of stella and islanegra wine. Grin

minouminou · 03/12/2012 12:49

Urgh!
I can't resist it, but our nearest B.U.M. Bargains is a good few miles away and we need to steel ourselves to go in.

We stock up on toothpaste, shampoo etc etc etc....saves us quite a few quid.

YABU.

Hell is Poundland in Clydebank shopping centre on Saturday.

Apart from the sheer number customers and the enormous queues, someone working there had the most horrific B.O. and stank out the whole shop. And the guy in front of me in the queue was reeking of superlager & stale fags and spat at his girlfriend.

It was awful. Never again!

Jingleflobba · 03/12/2012 13:27

YABU. I give you Primark in Manchester on a Saturday morning.
Beat that Grin

KatoPotatoHoHo · 03/12/2012 13:31

BeautifulBlondePineappleShouldn't we just make that Clydebank Shopping Centre in general?

They do love their trolleys!

OwlLady · 04/12/2012 10:02
