I ordered a plate of cold meats and 48 wine/ champagne glasses for drinks tonight.
Went to collect...no platter of meat. Not a problem..very apologetic manager gave me huge selection of meats from the deli, plus 3 boxes olives and antipasti ...for free.
Fantastic.

Just come to unpack glasses and they are all smeary. Obviously not been checked when they have been returned and are rank.
So I have the dishwasher on...and broke one of the bastards whilst loading.

I would have taken a photo of them before washing them.

I will go in clutching pearls tomorrow.
They know me very well.

The glasses always seem to need washing before you can use them. To be honest, I would anyway because you don't know how well the last people who used them cleaned them and Waitrose aren't going to wash them inbetween.

How is Mr DV coping?

Mr DV has taken ds to watch Reading play Man U. Supposed to be 3pm kickoff but it is being televised...so is now 5.30.
They won't be back till about 9pm , by which time I will be very merry.

We nearly came to blows a week last Monday, when he told me I couldn't organise it and as he was paying for it (!) he had a right to know what was going on.

He saw the error of his ways.

My friends are going to tell him loudly what a marvellously ORGaNISED do it has been.
