YES.

There were two empty spaces right outside Tesco. I was driving behind a car and turned right to get to the empty spaces quicker as I was in a rush. The car went the long way and was coming the opposite way from me on the left when I got to the junction, so I drove straight ahead into the space that was closest to me right opposite to me. The car came and parked into the space closest to him. The man began giving me dirty looks from his car, but I couldn't understand why...I wasn't speeding or cut him off. I just took initiative and took a short cut to the space.

Anyway, he got out of his car and was still giving me dirty looks. Then off he went inside the shop.

I spent about 15 mins in there, and came out to find a MASSIVE GLOBULE OF SPIT running down my windshield. No one else would have reason to do this. It was HIM.

The parking was right next to the ATM machines, so I'm thinking it was all caught on CCTV, but is it worth chasing this up? It's just spit and he didn't vandalise the car in any other way, but I'm fucking angry someone would be so fucking childish as to do this. Then I wished his legs would break.

AIBU?

You can get someones DNA from spit. Pointless if they don't have a criminal record but if they did you could id then that way. I don't think I'd actually do this in the op situation but I bloody well would if some scrote spat in my Childs face. That gives me the rage just thinking about it Angry

Sorry but Pmsl at 'greasy ghost of fuck off' :o

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/11/2012 14:21

Fake it might be worth checking if there's any CCTV but as it's a violation against a car not a person , you might not get any further.

Last year someone in a car slowed down and the passenger rolled down the window and spat on me, on my leg!
I was carrying an umberella and was soooooooo tempted to lob it at the car, but I was so gobsmacked I didn't even swear. (And there were two of them young males)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/11/2012 14:25

Some prick was holding a lit ciggie at the height of my DS face (he was French, I recognised some spoken French)

I told him to Fuck Right Off move his tab from my child's face in French. Very crappy French but he got the idea. And the look on my face was enough.

If someone spat on my DC I 6would^ have to harm them. Angry

charlmarascoxo · 28/11/2012 14:36

Yabu. You do not know for certain it was this man.

Waste more of your life chasing up CCTV if you really have that much free time.

Otherwise use your wipers, wash it off and then get on with your life.

valiumredhead · 28/11/2012 14:37

Blimey, you don't know it was him for sure. Wash it off with the wipers it's not like you have to deal with it directly or hand scrub it off. YABU to wish leg breakage on ANYONE.

I honestly wouldn't give this a second thought apart from a quick 'Ewww'

picketywick · 28/11/2012 14:49

TIC Headline is brilliant. Cant stop laughing. But I share your disgust.

shriekingnora · 28/11/2012 16:13

I just had to keep telling myself it was someone's child. By the time I understood what she was saying he'd gone but he was wearing his school uniform so we went to the school and they let her look at the pupil photos and pick out who she thought it was but she couldn't be definite enough. They were BRILLIANT at the school and made sure that DD knew that this was unacceptable and they were on her side. The whole thing turned into a surprisingly empowering experience for her and she is perhaps more confident as a result, which is a plus. Wish it hadn't happened though.

charlmarascoxo · 28/11/2012 16:47

shriekingnora eh? Hmm

Fakebook · 28/11/2012 21:40

Bah, I'm over it now. But what a bloody arsehole. I hope someone spits up his arse.

Yeah it's annoying but whoever it was (and you don't know it was him) spat at an inanimate object, not a person so hoping for broken bones in return is a bit extreme.

I would think an actual crime would have to be committed for anyone to agree to the time & costs involved in reviewing CCTV footage, but even if they did, I doubt the film would clearly show the person to pursue.

Calm down!!

Oops, sorry, wrote post earlier but didn't "send"

Anyone who does that should be made to continually proceed in a loop around Leicester Square for 72 hours non stop (no sleep, etc) in a wheelchair with no gloves. That might change their minds about their disgusting behaviour. Ditto anyone who pisses in doorways or shits/changes Tampax in shop changing rooms (yes - that does happen).
There are some proper dirty people out there.

charlmarascoxo · 02/12/2012 01:33

Sorry shrieking I must have completely missed the post about someone spitting in dd's face.

So when I read yours it made no sense at all and I thought you'd posted in the wrong thread.

Sorry again.

and MrsWolowitz I wasn't being snappy at all. I was just confused.

healstorturepeople · 02/12/2012 06:19

Cuteboots please dont use the word pikey. It's a derogative term for travellers and there is no reason to use it.

To the op - Yuck you poor thing. Spit is gross. I'd be tempted to follow it up but probably wouldn't in the end.

shriekingnora · 02/12/2012 18:26

No worries Charl - I guessed that might have been what happened!

SuperTressy · 02/12/2012 20:03

Dirty bastard. I used to have a lovely little jewellery shop on our local high street and every morning when I went to open up, some filthy scumbag would have gobbed all over the windows. I have to admit, I wished them a much worse fate than broken legs :)
