Staying up with ill ds2. It's gonna be a long night. Who wants some company?

Working, it's the quietest time of the 24 hours TBH. I'll have a nap soon and be up for work at 7am.
What's up with your DS and how old is he?

livvymc · 28/11/2012 02:47

I just woke from a horrible dream with tears running down my face! No more sleep tonight for me!

LoveYouForeverMyBaby · 28/11/2012 02:48

I'm up....dd has started waking up in the night again.....shattered.

LargeLatte · 28/11/2012 02:48

Happily I work for myself so I am also using this time to work but couldn't do it every day - I admire your stamina!

He's got the dreaded tummy bug I think.

livvymc sounds awful!

Dryjuice25 · 28/11/2012 02:51

Me and son aged 4mnths, Oh joy!

BigWhoop · 28/11/2012 02:51

I'm up because my 17 month old hates sleep. I wish she loved sleep like me - my life would be a lot less tired. But that's just not the way she rolls.

missymoomoomee · 28/11/2012 02:52

I'm up because I seem to have developed insomnia since having children, for the last 11 years I haven't slept for more than 2 hours at a time :(

livvymc · 28/11/2012 02:53

love urgh, it was!! Dreamt my DD was snatched from the car while I was waiting at a red light! I'm still having palpitations and I woke up half an hour ago!

LargeLatte · 28/11/2012 02:53

I wish I'd had access to mumsnet when ds1 was a baby - he also hated sleep and they were long long nights.

Missy that sounds horrible - do you feel tired all day or do you just need less sleep?

ripsishere · 28/11/2012 02:58

I'm up because it's just before 11am in Malaysia.
i am researching African Pygmy Hedeghogs as a Xmas present for DD

spottyock · 28/11/2012 02:58

My DD is not well with a horrible virus so I'm up after administering more Nurofen.

LoveYouForeverMyBaby · 28/11/2012 02:58

livymc take deep breaths and a calming cup of tea! missymoo that sounds hideous! Since having dd I've hd patches of sleep (some months 11/12 house, some months up every hour!)

LoveYouForeverMyBaby · 28/11/2012 02:59

Should read hours not house.

TheNebulousBoojum · 28/11/2012 03:01

missy, I sleep in bursts of 2-4 hours. I think my stress levels could power a small city! There's just no way to fit everything in otherwise.
That tummy bug is horrible latte, the sick bucket in my class has been used twice already this week.

missymoomoomee · 28/11/2012 03:02

I'm just used to it now tbh. I have 4 dc and they all sleep talk/walk so its not worth trying to sleep. Still, at least I can be really constructive with my time (watch Gerard Butler films and drool)

I'm sorry so many people have ill little ones :( its horrible when they aren't well.

kalidasa · 28/11/2012 03:05

I'm up! After 10 solid days of stupid pre-labour a really big contraction woke me at 1.15 and I think this might finally be the beginning of the real thing. Trying to hold off waking up DP for at least another hour.

fiverabbits · 28/11/2012 03:05

I have had insomnia since childhood, I too wish I had mumsnet earlier but I used to read at least one book each night whilst listening to my DH snoring. My DS never slept through the night until he was thirteen and he always moans that he never gets enough sleep even when he has 8 hours. What really annoys me that when I am asleep someone wakes me up EVERY DAY.

TheHumancatapult · 28/11/2012 03:05

Me I'm up been awake since 2am kids all asleep its just me that Awake given up and got out of bed . Only trouble is I have a non stop day from 6.30 am till around 10.30 tonight and I'm going be feeling it soon later

missymoomoomee · 28/11/2012 03:08

How exciting kalidasa. You are far nicer than me, I woke DH up and told him if I was suffering he would too :)

10 days of pre labour though :( that sounds horrible.

MerryChristMoose · 28/11/2012 03:09

I'm awake as its 8:07pm here. Just nursed DS to sleep and keeping my fingers crossed that it will be more than 90 minutes before he wakes up again.

Oh for more than 3 hours unbroken sleep .... :(

WelshMaenad · 28/11/2012 03:11

I'm up because I've got a stinking cold and can't breathe. I'm watching episodes of Torchwoofd on my iPhone to cheer myself up.

QOD · 28/11/2012 03:12

3:06am

I can do 6 days in Egypt at 36degrees, decided to do 8 mins on a sunned today to help prolong the tan and I've got bloody sunburn!

LargeLatte · 28/11/2012 03:12

Ooh kalidasa how exciting. If he's anything like my dh he'll just grunt an acknowledgement and go back to sleep.
