My DS was seven. Fourteen now. Before he was seven I was an angry, angry cunt.

I think I found it a couple of years ago, when my youngest was 10. I'm actually pleased that I wasn't on the internet when my kids were babies. I got on fine without it.

I found it when my youngest was 12 months. Glad I didn't find when pg with first.

I love it. Especially the pfb stories, usually because they remind me of something I did with the first and never considered with the second (and last).

I found it when my ds was 11 and dd was 9. (now 17 and 15) I had been on a few other parenting boards since DS was about 5 but none of them were as scaremonger over babies as MN is.

YANBU though: some of the baby stuff is a bit scary.
I think in general there can be a rather nervy competitive atmosphere around brand new first time mums. I had to fuck off the NCT meet ups because I couldn't cope with it irl. I get my fix on mums net and that's OK

Did anyone see the playpen thread. I was lurking on there thinking "I'd be interested in seeing what people think about that"
