to be drinking the Christmas Baileys? Actually it is the Tesco till lady's fault.

Unreasonable or not?

The Tesco till lady was telling me the orange one is nasty, the hazelnut one is ok but the classic is best.

So I had to buy some (£12!!!) (bargain!).

Fuckit. It is delicious. And I think I may drink the whole bottle.

White port? Now you're talking!

Startail · 25/11/2012 20:04

I have mince pies too Grin

Startail · 25/11/2012 20:07

DH had an elderly, rather academic Father, 'tis his bad habit.

It is like rather cultured sherry and I am not going to have a second glass.

joanbyers · 25/11/2012 20:08

I have just finished a bottle of Grand Marnier. (Proper alky me)

AlexReidsLonelyBraincell · 25/11/2012 20:12

I saw an advert saying all flavours are £8 in ASDA. Will be stocking up there for presents I think.

I am currently ignoring the M&S Festive Spiced nuts in the cupboard (god they're amazing). If I start eating them I won't stop, determined not to crack as husband reckons I will. I will not make him smug...it's so hard though.

Whitershadeofpale · 25/11/2012 20:14

One for wilson my favourite shot (or slightly bigger when made at home) baby guinness; half frangelico, half Tia maria or Kailua and then baileys balanced on the top like an Irish coffee. Bloody delicious especially with the hazelnut baileys.

PropertyNightmare · 25/11/2012 20:15

Yanbu. Following a delicious Sunday Roast we will be opening our Christmas Baileys in the next hour!

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday · 25/11/2012 20:16

Fuckit.

Having more.

Liking your style Whiter

PropertyNightmare · 25/11/2012 20:24

As a student we routinely had it in coffee and even on cornflakes every now and again. We often ran out of milk and well you can't leave an open bottle of Baileys alone can you?

AppleOgies · 25/11/2012 20:27

Wish I'd bought some now... I was going to, but DH said that I would never manage to drink a litre of the stuff! Sad

I could have tried!

dixiechick1975 · 25/11/2012 20:28

£12!

It was £8 in Asda last night

TheGrumpalo · 25/11/2012 20:29

I bought some shortbread for Christmas (nearly done!) and some cranberry sauce (opened) and a tin of sweets (half done!) I'm doing well aren't I?

Must get some Baileys this week Grin

I have a recipe for Bailey's-like stuff:
1 large tin condensed milk
1 large tin evaporated milk
1 cup whisky or brandy (more or less to taste)
2 teaspoons good instant coffee dissolved in 2 teaspoons milk
2 tablespoons glycerin
Mix it all together, chill and drink. It is very good, very cheap and we have put it in nice bottles and given as presents when DCs were younger.

Pixel · 25/11/2012 20:38

I forgot I'd seen the advert for Biscotti flavour I must be going senile.

I will be passing ASDA tomorrow, and it's my birthday so the law says I must go in...

I found mint Baileys disappointing, it wasn't minty enough.

PropertyNightmare · 25/11/2012 20:39

Just opened bottle! It really is good.

scaevola · 25/11/2012 20:40

Anyone tried the Iceland Baileys puddings? I've just seen an ad, and they did look rather nice.

Plomino · 25/11/2012 20:41

I lurrrve my Baileys . I cracked last weekend , and opened the bottle of original , so have about half left . Tried the orange and wasn't mad keen I have to say .

Loved the coffee one , and the mint one too , but I can't find it this year.

TaggieCampbellBlackFriday · 25/11/2012 20:46
