Is this strange or is it just me?

And is it weird that they have a doctor AND a vet? But they are all animals?

My brain can't take it :)

I don't watch Peppa Pig (my dc are grown) but have read of a gorilla called Koko, who had a series of pet cats.

Not as weird as the fact they wear clothes, can talk and live in a house etc. I must admit I was surprised to see a vet.

Not nearly as weird as Mickey Mouse who has a dog for a friend (Goofy) and a dog for a pet (Pluto). Wtf is that about?

I think it's weirder that an elephant is the same size as a cat.

I gave up thinking about it long ago, none of it makes any sense, but DS enjoys it!

and none of the male characters wear trousers - just sleeveless and legless body suits.

ps the vet is one of the best characters

It is odd how the animals we would regard as pets can either talk, live in houses and drive cars like the cats and dogs in the programme but tortoises and goldfish are clearly marked out as being pets for those animals. How did they decide which were which? Mammals can have houses but other animals are pets?

why did they put out the fire on the BBQ ???? and how many jobs does miss rabbit have

and why is she Miss rabbit when there is a Mr rabbit, would it not be Ms rabbit

The characters are all mammals, none of the pets are (so perfectly plausible).

Goofy is a cow. His love interest is Clara-bell, and his teeth are rounded like a herbivore. Looking back at the history he originated in Scotland and is a hornless cow, but he was altered to look more dog like.

There is miss rabbit and mrs rabbit. They are sisters. Miss rabbit is too busy doing every job there is to have babies.

Don't think Miss Rabbit has time for a partner. Mummy Rabbit is married to Mr Rabbit and Miss Rabbit is her sister (ref: Mummy Rabbit's bump or Miss Rabbit's day off).

Mummy Rabbit is married to Mr Rabbit and Miss Rabbit is Mummy Rabbit's sister. This confuses DD no end - "Why are there two Miss Rabbits Mummy?"

Also, it's nice that Mummy Cow kept her maiden name when she married Mr Bull!

Why do all the males only wear bodysuit type things with no trousers and shoes and why is George called 'George'? Shouldn't he be Peter Pig? Same with Chloe Pig, should she not be Penny Pig or... Something??

Has anyone ever seen them eat meat or even refer to eating it? If so where does that come from?

And i see pigs driving cars everyday............

Also, on Peppa Pig - all the dc have alliterative names except for George. Poor little poppet.

I puzzled over how old Madame Gazelle was last week... She taught all the mummies and daddies but before that she was in a rock band.

I do think there is something going on between Miss Rabbit and Daddy Pig - possibly they used to go out before he met Mummy Pig.
