Obviously not a private show, there'll be 60,000 other people.

I asked DH if he wanted to go, he said he did n't like big stadium things (not sure he's ever been to one).

So I've booked a single ticket for myself. It's just before my 40th. DH is unlikely to have been planning anything his track record on my 30, 10 year anniversary, birth of kids, Msc graduation is zero to indifference.

AIBU or just a bit weird?

ChestnutsRoastingonaWitchesTit · 23/11/2012 10:16

YABU. They are rubbish. Grin

Slumberparty · 23/11/2012 10:17

Not at all! I saw them last month at the O2 and they were brilliant!

AIBU by spending lots of money on more tickets to go and see the same show again???

Jingleflobba · 23/11/2012 11:19

YANBU, i would love to go if I could afford the ticket!

CocoPopsAddict · 23/11/2012 12:18

YANBU, I have seen them three times and they are amazing.

whatsforyou · 23/11/2012 12:23

I'll go with you, I'll go with you, I'll go with you!!!
I'll even buy you a card and cake Smile

You are NBU you are being very independent and a little bit brave

wigglesrock · 23/11/2012 12:24

I'd go like a shot, I go to the cinema on my own sometimes.

lunchbox · 23/11/2012 12:25

I'm hopefully going to see them next year, (if only damn customers would stop needing attention I could book the tickets!)

I saw them a few weeks ago too, they're amazing!

Decide for me - crappy seats or standing?

PetiteRaleuse · 23/11/2012 12:30

YANBU Years ago they came to Paris on my birthday and I was with a twat of a boyfriend at the time who refused to come with me, and heavily hinted that he was planning something for that day. So I didn't get tickets, and the twat didn't plan anything and I spent my birthday evening on my own feeling sorry for myself.

I have regretted not going ever since (8 or 9 years) and since have left Paris and they never come out to this corner of France.

So please go, for me. And come back and tell me how amazing uthey are. Yes, am aware I sound like a teenybopper right now)

MrsReiver · 23/11/2012 12:46

YABU, don't go alone - take me with you!

UrbanSpaceManBaby · 23/11/2012 12:48

Thank you, I have booked crappy seat, since I figured would be a long afternoon /evening.

I've felt a bit sad but never regretted anything I 've been to by myself - cinema, Rufus Wainwright last year, etc. But like PetiteRaleuse there's stuff that I did n't go to and regret.

DH will make the hurt puppy face when I tell him but as I said he's never pulled his finger out to book or even encourage landmark celebrations in the past. I shall make a weekend of it.

Any other lone MN folk who wish to book, general tickets went on sale 9.30 this morning, I'll met you at the stadium for sneaky G&Ts.

Thank you, very excited now.
