to leave dh and 3 dcs at the table while i stand out in the garden?

My plan tomorrow dinner time is:

1. put dhs dinner where i normally sit next to baby dd (he's never in 9.5 months fed her).
2. eat my dinner really quickly and leave them while I spend 5 mins standing in the garden (dh goes for a fag). Baby dd then refuses anymore dinner as she wants picking up.
3. i will then go and watch tv/computer or MN as dh does whilst he stays at the table battling with picky-eater dd1 and screaming but hungry dd2 and ds.

Sound fair or AIBU?

Ooh should I also ask him to cook dinner and clear away and wash up?

Have you already tried an adult conversation with him about it?

Although my last comment was somewhat tongue in cheek, this doesn't seem to be an equal adult relationship. Why doesn't he help with the DC and the clearing up. Sounds like a selfish arse to me.

I've mentioned it several times but after a bad day, tonight was the last straw. I think we'll be having a chat soon but thought a demo might make the point better or cause an almighty row He was brilliant with ds, ok with dd1 but he hasn't aged well and seems to think with dd2 he's entitled to a rest in an evening. he does work hard all day you know!

Exactly! I am a lazy lazy sahm. All i do is MN and watch jeremy kyle all day and feed, change, pace with, play with dd, tidy up after 3dcs, wash, cook... And get planning up to date for returning to work in jan
I don't actually mind doing the above if it's apreciated. That was the idea of me taking a years maternity leave. However when he's in, I do expect him to pull his weight!
