Well from what I gather one mum (coffeepot/dog) started a thread moaning about another mother who she felt was hijacking her twin boy's birthday. Alegged hijacker mother (clumsyoaf) was then pointed in the direction of the first thread by outsiders. Clumsyoaf then started a thread asking if Coffeepot/dog was talking about her and all chaos ensued.

If you were looking for finer details I sadly missed it all too Sad

Bogey I was going to PM you earlier today to say thanks for the book recommendation on yesterdays thread. I have been collecting literature like that since DD came along so will be grabbing a copy soon.

LDNmummy · 22/11/2012 01:09

Wait, will I get in trouble for typing that up Confused

thebody · 22/11/2012 01:14

Sounds like a stupid set up to me. Had same in mumsnet about 4 years ago.

One poster accusing another if being unfaithful.

Bloody big YAWN

ShiftyFades · 22/11/2012 01:16

Coffeepot/dog never did come back Sad
Upshot is: coffee is ignoring clumsy's phone messages and so clumsy has organised a separate party for her DD.

It would appear that there was a misunderstanding over the shared party.

Lesson to all: do not have shared parties Grin

thebody · 22/11/2012 01:24

Yawn ...

LDNmummy · 22/11/2012 01:26

Ah well, crisis averted for both parties involved I would think.

LDNmummy · 22/11/2012 01:27

So anyone want to talk about Moldies again?

That was way more interesting for a newbie like me Grin

Brycie · 22/11/2012 01:31

I didn't see it bar a fraction, but I liked the way the other mother must have had the first mother's phone number but instead of phoning her up wrote some essays on here. So in other words, unless one or both of them is a bit mad, then I think it was a bit made up.

Astelia · 22/11/2012 01:32

Ah ha more information - thanks LDN. How come it went to over 22 pages? The mind boggles.

Bogeyface · 22/11/2012 02:04

Is that it?!

Blimey, I thought we were atleast looking at a wife/OW stand off!

LDN, you're very welcome. It is a really fantastic and interesting book.

FYI The English Marriage by Maureen Waller and Wedlock: How Georgian Britain's Worst Husband Met His Match by Wendy Moore are good reading too.
