To think that toys based on War should not be aimed at such a young market

My son was watching TV last night - He is 5 and there was an advert for these toys. I believe he was watching Cartoonito. It is a tank, helicopter, etc and is called Gears of War.

I think this is also a computer game but I cannot imagine any children over eleven would play with these toy trucks.

And my son is still on a innotab and would have no idea what an xbox is.

I just feel that in this day and age, games like this are very close to reality and for as long as possible our children should be protected from the images. Just wondered what everyone else thought.

I am against anything that glorifies war or makes it seem cool, no matter what age it's aimed at. I find it rather pathetic that grown men play at shooting people and that computer games make killing seem easy and fun - it's totally fucked up. People don't play at putting animals to sleep or destroying rainforest, so why do they play killing people? I don't get it.
