to think Logan is a girl's name?

DH convinced it is a boy's name but I have never known a boy named this, only girls. AIBU to name my daughter Logan?

I know 2 real children named Logan. Both boys

I think it's fine for both. I quite like it for both actually. When i think of logan, i think of wolverine though. I think that says more about my nerdiness than the name itself though!

Logan is a surname, as is Regan, MacKenzie, etc.
Giving children surnames as Christian names is a fashion which will date quickly IMO.

Reagan was a female character in King Lear though...that is quite old.

If I hear the name Logan I always think of Wolverine as well...and he is HAWT...

I don't know any Logans which is in itself surprising, but I would assume Logan was a boy tbh.

I'm not into the surname as first name thing even if it has an old and distinguished history. Americans especially love using Irish surnames as first names

I think of it as a boys name to.

I thought it was a boys name until a friend of dh called their dd 'Logan' so now think of it as a either or name!

Lots of people on Scotland do the surname as first name thing. Knew a guy whose first name was Anderson.
