To want the label in the back of me knickers?

I got some new smalls from Sainsburys the other night. Washed and dried them and looked forward to wearing them today (been in maternity pant hell for too long) but I can't tell which way round they go.
They feel ok both ways, all I can conclude is I should have got size 12...

AIBU to think they should put the label at the back to avoid confusing people like me?

Noooo. I hate hate hate labels in underwear. They really irritate me and when they are sewn into the seam I end up cutting a hole in the knickers when trying to get the label off.

Shutupanddrive · 16/11/2012 20:47

Is there a label?

toofattorun · 16/11/2012 20:47

My labels are all on the left.

SoleSource · 16/11/2012 20:51

I wouldn't know. I only have six pairs for that time of month.

AlanMoore · 16/11/2012 20:54

On the left? I'll try that. The legs say one way but the waistband says the other. I suppose I can't complain for £4 for 5 pairs really...they're much nicer than m&s ones.

This morning DS1 said to me, 'Mummy there's a massive bit for your bum in the back of your pants'...

091972 · 16/11/2012 21:14

Think as long as they feel comfortable it doesn't really matter which way round you wear them??? PS Just checked own smalls & labels def on the left too if that means anything !

Bingdweller · 16/11/2012 21:21

M&S don't have labels in some of their pants/bras. The details are printed on - much better....

kige · 16/11/2012 21:21

All my pants have labels on the left.

If the were in the back, the label would end up going up your bum crack!

CMOTDibbler · 16/11/2012 21:24

I hate labels in pants - they all get cut out very carefully using nail scissors

BarbecuedBillygoats · 16/11/2012 21:26

Just a thought the tops I bought from sainsburies have them printed on. Is there any small print?

GlitterySkulls · 16/11/2012 21:30

all the labels in my knickers are on the left, all the labels in DH's boxers are on the right. like buttons.

WandaDoff · 16/11/2012 21:32

On the left definitely Smile

SecretNutellaFix · 16/11/2012 21:33

labels on the left

RubberNeckerNicker · 16/11/2012 21:40

Labels on the left - it's how I've taught DD to put on her pants as they only seem to put bows on the front of half the pants in a pack for some reason Hmm

AlanMoore · 16/11/2012 21:47

You learn summat new every day!

TidyDancer · 16/11/2012 21:57

Oh yes, labels on the left. And also some kind of decoration on the front.

MrsBaggins · 16/11/2012 22:19

Hellooooo ! Tidy
Had any takeaways lately Grin

Runs to check knickers - prefer no labels but it causes a problem if DD 6-8 pants get in my drawer - am 12-14 !

Molehillmountain · 16/11/2012 22:21

Girls pants-bows at the front. Boys pants - spiderman or bob the builder at the front. Them'a the rules.

oopslateagain · 16/11/2012 22:33

All my thongs knickers have the label on the left. All, that is, except for 3 pairs from a multipack which all have the label on the fecking right. Meaning that at stupid-oh-clock in the morning when I've got half an eye open I end up with a front wedgie.

Now, that wakes you up pretty damn quick.

AlanMoore · 16/11/2012 22:50

I checked, the label is to the left...they are just very very high at the front compared to the back, iyswim. I do have a big JLo style (if she was a fat northern woman) arse though.

Takeaways, MrsBaggins?! What I done/missed/forgotten?!

Puremince · 17/11/2012 22:49

Columbo solved a murder once because he noticed that the body was wearing pants with their label on the right hand side.

ChocolateCoins · 17/11/2012 22:54
