and then take him home afterwards? He has a bit of a temp and is sying his throat hurts but has eaten breakfast and is bouncing around the place now. I don't mind keeping him off today as it will give him a rest day and let him recharge his batteries a bit. BUT his Year 4 sister has an open assembly today that both me and dh want to go to. It's her last year in lower school so her last open assembly. WIBU to take DS into school just for that??? I say no, dh says yes!

Sorry - ds is in Year 1 - so I'd be saying to the school, 'sorry, he's absent from school today but just here for the open assembly then we'll take him home'. Thanks!!

Take him .

If he's eating breakfast and bouncing send him to school

BIWI · 16/11/2012 08:02

Yes, YABU. If he's unwell, then you should be keeping him at home so that he can get better.

AgentProvocateur · 16/11/2012 08:02

I'd say don't take him. If he's not well enoughto be at school, it looks bad if he then turns up there for a social event.

Rockchick1984 · 16/11/2012 08:02

If he's unwell enough to be off school he shouldn't be going to the assembly so YABU.

PiedWagtail · 16/11/2012 08:14

OK - thank you! Dh will stay at home with him. Gah.
