To wear a maxi dress in winter with layers?

Or just too odd.

Nothing is bloody comfy in my wardrobe, I'm 32 weeks, all bump and not much else. Fed up of waists.

I was just looking at my comfy comfy maxis (not strapless, or thin straps) and thinking how comfy I'd be in them with woolly tights, boots, cardi and a scarf.

Too bag lady like? Does it matter when I'm this round anyway?

Nope I was looking at my isabell oliver catalogue a few weeks back, the little one that comes in the post and they have a model wearing a long black maxi with scarf, boots, and denim jacket and some other layers it looked really nice. Disclaimer she was about 5'8 an a size 10

I wore a maxi dress and a warming wrap to a wedding a few weeks ago! Go for it!

I lived in my sleeveless black maxi dress when PG. I started wearing in June with bangles and sandals and by November I was wearing it with boots, scarves, long necklaces, long cardigans, long sleeved T shirt underneath, etc etc. I continued to live in it when DS was born in December.

I think you will look lovely in yours. And they are so comfy when you don't wan to cross your legs in skirts or faff with waistbands on jeans and trousers.

if you're comfortable and warm/cool (whatever you want to be) go for it. Other people's opinions don't matter. Personally I love seeing people wear summery clothes in the winter - this country's weather is bad enough without everyone adding to the gloom by wearing black. I don't have a winter or summer wardrobe - just layer whatever's comfortable and team with boots or sandals as appropriate.

This time last year I was in my third trimester and did exactly that. Maxi dress with tights boots and a cardi. I don't think I would have won any style awards but I got away with it.

My best mate did it when pregnant...looked really well!
