Oh look at me! I'm a woman, and therefore am such a martyr to my out-of-control emotions that I am being tossed around on a metaphorical stormy sea! Rescue me with tea! And pastel colours!

LA LA LA LOVE SOOOOOOOONG...........

YANBU. All adverts featuring women are intrinsically sexist and awful and should be banned.

fluffyraggies · 08/11/2012 11:55

YANBU

As soon as i feel 'targeted' i'm immediately put off.

When will ad execs get this?

WorraLiberty · 08/11/2012 11:57

You can't post links properly OP but if you think we're going to rescue you with tea, you can think again.

Nice try! Grin

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 08/11/2012 11:59

I think the advert's just crap; beyond that I can't see anything else.

Now, have you tried Tesco's 'chocolate tea'? That's surprisingly nice. Grin

The music is annoying.

I hate the way the woman is so clueless that she lets the oars slip away - it would have been a better ad if they'd shown her rowing through the storm with all her might and having a cup of tea after getting through it.

samandi · 08/11/2012 12:25

Hmm, I quite like it. And I often dislike adverts for being sexist.

VirginiaDare · 08/11/2012 12:50

FFS, really? Its not even an actual woman, its an animation.

Its a perfectly nice advert. Very well drawn.

mutny · 08/11/2012 12:53

all adverts should just be a picture of the product and a line at the bottom saying 'i am available to buy'

Except that would probably offend someone.

joanbyers · 08/11/2012 12:54

mmm, lesbian tea.

monica77798 · 08/11/2012 13:17

YABU, it is just an advert about the calming effects of tea. I don't see why some people feel the need to read sexism into everything they see.

FlipFlippingFlippers · 08/11/2012 13:23

YABU

Also Tesco chocolate tea is amazing.

Slumberparty · 08/11/2012 14:06

Loved that Kim! Very funny!

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 08/11/2012 14:32

Love the Mitchell and Webb link. Thanks! I had not seen it before.

butterflybuns · 08/11/2012 14:43

Better than the Typhoo advert with floppy blond Ben being an incompetent idiot. " Don't know how she does it!" he says. Silly man can't possibly l Twatish advert

butterflybuns · 08/11/2012 14:49

Oops- fat fingers. He's a smug twat in a twatish advert who can't look after a small child and put on a load of washing and making a meal out of it.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 08/11/2012 15:48

Grin at the mitchell and Webb sketch... love it arf

carocaro · 08/11/2012 17:41

But a cup of tea (esp. Twinnings Everyday) does do bloody wonders, even if not in a rowing boat.

WineGoggles · 09/11/2012 12:45

I actually think it's a beautiful animation. Wish she'd not dropped the oars though (the dizzy bint), but apart from that I love it.

I used to hate it too, until DH replaced the tag line with 'Bump into Yourself'. Now it makes me laugh.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 09/11/2012 15:37

I love that song!

And carocaro is right a cup of tea does do wonders.
