...to put tights on my DS?

DS (18mo) is a Warmth Refuser. He will not wear a hat, scarf, gloves, socks, boots or shoes. Attempts to apply these items to him are met with screaming.

I fight them all onto him and leave the house: hat usually removed by doorstep. Scarf and gloves by the gate. Before we've been out ten minutes he will have his socks and shoes off and I will have wrestled him into his coat a couple of times.

I've taken to layering him up like a woolly little onion (vest, gro, tshirt, hoodie, etc) to keep him warm but he will not wear shoes and I can't shop for pretty house stuff essentials while he's screaming. BUT his little toes are freezing by the time we get home.

I want to put woolly tights under his trousers. DH is highly upset at the idea. AIBU?

DS1 borrowed my lovely thick wooly Fatface tights this week for under his jeans as he was so cold cycling to work. He is 19 !! He also wears his Dad's RAF long johns , but prefers the tights as they fit better!

Mind you he was always put in wooly tights as a baby/toddler as he was a sock thrower with an older sister . He also wore tutus, makeup and wanted to breastfeed his doll when he was little and yet he's STILL not gay ...Grin (in fact to visit his sister and hoping to 'pull' at her University tonight!)

His sister however IS Gay.. so I really don't think the tights swung them one way or the other Grin

I had a thread about this a few months ago. I put DS in tights because its easier. My friend told me it was weird and scar him for life. He's rocking some brown ones right now under his grey joggers.

Buy them and you'll never look back.
