Please don't slate me :) I'm just wondering if this would be wrong? She is a v good baby rarely cries unless tired or starving! I'm bfeeding so can't leave her with anyone she won't take a bottle of formula. I have an 8 an 4 yr old on the half term who desperately want to go and watch a kids film? Do I think it would be horrendous if I take bubbs too? If she cries I will slip out if we sit at the front I can have a quick escape ?

So where do I leave the baby?

LilBlondePessimist · 04/11/2012 20:03

So what do all the single parents do with these babies while spending time with their other children. Or parents like me whose spouses work away almost constantly and have no other family or support network in an 11,000km radius?

We sit in a cinema and let our babies scream and upset everyone if course ?

floggingmolly I think you mean me, dd often has a wander round part way through the film but she's never noisey and if she was I'd take her straight out. She's very rarely the only child walking round the front and as they're always children's films suitable for very little children I don't see the problem and fully expect to see toddlers and small children walking round and quietly enjoying themselves, I think it's lovely to see. If it was an adult film then I'd understand but if it's a children's film then what's the problem? Some people can be such kill joys! The ONLY issue I'd have is the noise and have left the cinema before now because I think it is too loud for dd but generally for children's film (in our cinema at least) the noise level isn't too bad

I think it's totally unacceptable to let kids wander about and it winds me up. Even if we've only said £1 for the ticket! You take young children to the cinema to get them used to it so they can learn what behaviour is acceptable. Wandering about isn't, IMHO.

She's 18 months old! She sits still and quiet for 90% of the film (which is more than a lot of adults seem to be able to manage) so if she wants a quick stretch of her legs and a look at the other children wandering round then ill let her, there'll be far more disruption and noise if I stopped her a forced her to sit there in silence. She loves sitting there dancing to the songs and laughing and pointing things out to me, she's not doing any harm and no one else seems to be bothered (not bothered enough to tell me at least) so I don't see the problem
