www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-2220669/Spouting-filth-s-VERY-strange-way-stick-free-speech.html

In which, middle class India Knight called la Liz everything under the sun on her nasty twitter diatribe of nonsense.

Schadenfreude, I know.

Sorry - a post of mine above wasn't clear - I meant that Alastair Campbell's blog about I.K's column was posted by the Huffington Post.

cocolepew · 28/11/2012 20:16

I can't believe I missed the ressurection, stupid fucking work getting in the way of MNing Sad

Vagabond · 28/11/2012 20:23

So, who's buying the new book? Wink

OP posts:
Southeastdweller · 28/11/2012 20:27

I won't buy it but I may get it from the library or something. I wasn't keen at all on Clara who was the protagonist in her last book who's in this new book.

I read an article in the Standard tonight about where in London India buys her Christmas goodies from. It was all quite

BupcakesAndCunting · 28/11/2012 20:31

I'm buying it.

To give to my enemies.

LittleFrieda · 28/11/2012 20:33

I used to quite like Linda India Knight, but then I read a piece where she professed to being a porn user. Yuck. Liz Jones is a much better feminist. If you had to choose.

Vagabond · 28/11/2012 20:34

I think there are other things to buy for enemies. Might I suggest an animal print onesie?

They will probably love it. Hence the enemy connection.

I'm intrigued by the idea that every woman IK 'knows' is obsessed with whether they are Mutton or not? (BBC BReakfast}

Who are these people? Is this not remarkably trivial? I can honestly say hand on heart in my Female-dominated MH profession or down the pub that we have never had this scintillating discussion nor care about it.

mignonette · 28/11/2012 20:52

Oh, and I'm not sexist about your column being written by a female, Sali. I'd have said the same if it had a male author. Get your facts right.

SuePurblyFeltYourPresents · 28/11/2012 20:54

Ahem.
Sali X, I think you'll find. You'd do it for Malcolm, now do it for Sali.

BupcakesAndCunting · 28/11/2012 21:02

I was confused about the sexist remark, mignonette.

She was right about you being Spiteful though!

Cin cin! Wine Grin

Miaow. beauty writers who 'defend' folks who make malevolent remarks about people with mental health problems, in other words make bitchy comments themselves about people objecting to such spiteful discriminatory comments, make me feel like dishing it back.

Very very poor moral standing, the lot of them on Twit-ter

On Twitter, we have been called mentals/sad/trolls by IK and Sali x. You call them on it on Twitter, they block you (can't handle the truth, ladies?) Call them on it on here and you get deleted.

Oh well. Off to the Grauniad comments section it is...

BupcakesAndCunting · 28/11/2012 21:13

"The best bit about this thread is where someone says "She is a big girl" and then Justine objects to that and explains: "We took that to mean you were referring to IK's weight." I'm speechless."

That was meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Grin

And it ain't libel if it's factual, is it?

mignonette · 28/11/2012 21:14

Grin at Bupcakes

Clearly the beauty products are no good for treating thin skin.......(awaits delete although had this been said about PA or Alex Reid, it'd stay in).....

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 28/11/2012 21:16

you know... i am still staggered by the use of 'mentals'. my staggeration is not wearing off.

mignonette · 28/11/2012 21:18

Yes. Way and above anything written on here. I am a MH Professional and these comments really do impact upon patients feelings. They have an instant and direct effect.

BupcakesAndCunting · 28/11/2012 21:19

Fine to call someone mental. Not fine to call someone chunky.

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 28/11/2012 21:20

i mean she might as well call people spastics and have done with it, it's along the same lines imo.

i just can't get my head round someone using that sort of language in front of 80,000 people (or however many followers she has).

BupcakesAndCunting · 28/11/2012 21:22

She surrounds herself with yes people, Aitch.

Anyone that voices an objection is merely abused on twitter or blocked. She can't handle criticism for sure.

mignonette · 28/11/2012 21:24

None of them can. Twisted little universe they live in.

BupcakesAndCunting · 28/11/2012 21:37

True, Mignonette.

I imagine it seems very cosy and insular living in a virtual world where people trip over themselves to applaud or defend everything you ever say, however crass and it MUST be a shock to them that actually, not everyone thinks you're all that great.

Can you imagine on MN, if every post in AIBU telling an OP that they were in no uncertain terms BU got deleted and only the fawning posts were left to stand? It would be like Nethuns.

That's what IK's world is like. Nethuns but with lots of Bombay Duck accessories and slightly better grammar.

mignonette · 28/11/2012 21:40

Yes they have truly been bitten on the ass......It is a sick making insular world. One where a major concern is apparently whether one is Mutton or not.

BupcakesAndCunting · 28/11/2012 21:45

Where one is mutton? WTF is that about?
