to think I can get in cheap to see the Lion King at the Liceum just by turning up on the night?

Can't afford the proper prices, and years ago it was possible to turn up and buy left over tickets cheap. AIBU to think this is still possible?

There might be touts outside selling tickets.

Doubt you'll get them from the proper place though.

Check the theatre website but I think they may go on sale earlier in the day and/or at the Leicester Square booth. Wouldn't fancy your chances at half term

I did this a few years back expecting the same to no avail. Got seats in the gods but no discount.

You need to go to the tkts kiosk in Leicester Square, which is the only official outlet for same day (or short notice, up to a week) tickets. Better to queue in one place, than have to do the rounds of every single theatre which has something you might fancy.

No chance. If you could do this too many people would try their luck last minute to get cheap tickets.
