Is there any downside to this?

I read that it's very normal in Scandanavia and it seemed very healthy to me. She's 11 months and is wrapped up very well. Normally in a weather proof all in one then her foot muff etc. Warm hat.

She's outside for I suppose 1 hour twice a day. Sometimes on a walk or just out the back.

Now that the weather is getting cold is there any downside? Anything I haven't thought about?

I think when my mum did it Iwas just left outside to cry myself lo sleep and if I woke up would be on my own crying. All which I would associate with this.

I guess if I'd gone for a walk first and she'd stayed asleep (but then I'd have to wheel her through the house to get to the garden!). I would hatetugd idea of her waking up on her own and not knowing where I was though.

Apart from the practicalities in our case I think its a nice idea but I'd prefer lo be with them, so taking them for a walk in the fresh air perhaps.

My MIL always tells the story that when DH was a baby he was always crying and always unsettled.

She took him to the Dr. who gave her a script. When she asked what it was for the Dr. replied

"It's for you. He's just a spoilt baby. Put him down the bottom of the garden in his pram and leave him there". Grin

Coralanne that's more a Sad than a Grin surely.

Mistress looking at it today it probably would be but whenever I think of it I imagine MIL saying it in her broad Cumbrian accent and remembering all her actions that went with it always make me smile.
