The mere suggestion of it makes me go cold.

OP posts:
ModreB · 25/10/2012 20:59

But it is possible to get pregnant when already pregnant

But I do think YABU. Esp when I remember being pregnant with DS2 & 3, not at the same time mind, when DH barely dared to walk in the door before I jumped him [hgrin]

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 25/10/2012 21:02

Showy, I SELL little baby Cheeses! I'm very popular at christmas! Grin

Flisspaps · 25/10/2012 21:02

What ShowOfBloodyStumps said (NICE guidelines on IoL say sex isn't to be recommended as a way of getting labour going as it DOESN'T WORK)

Biscuit for the OP.

Sidge · 25/10/2012 21:03

It's not disgusting but I didn't like having sex when I was pregnant

Well not once I felt the baby moving anyway. Not quite the threesome I daydream of...

I saw some brilliant graffiti once.

'Sex is Great - I Know Because I've Done It'

honey dragon shagging will not get your dishes washed

caramelthewitchescat · 25/10/2012 21:24

My first pregnancy was too traumatic to even contemplate sex. My 2nd pregnancy my OH thought all his xmases had come at once all the way through.

Strawhatpirate · 25/10/2012 21:25

The thing is OP we're talkig 9months of no alcohol, no nice cheese, no sushi and barely any coffee. Therefor I will be flipped if I'm going to go without cock for 9 months as well.

flossy101 · 25/10/2012 21:29

In late pregnancy sex was not my favourite pass time to be honest (that was eating) but I wouldn't call it disgusting!

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 25/10/2012 21:30

Op have you ever
(a) been pregnant
(b) had sex?

HoneyDragon · 25/10/2012 21:31

Of course sex gets the dishes done when your pregnant. Your OH does them in a desperate attempt to flee from hormonal sex crazed round people giving them the eye.

MumsGoToReykjavik · 25/10/2012 21:33

Haven't read whole thread but why on earth would it be disgusting? Of course if you personally don't want to then don't but why on earth should a couple suddenly want to stop having sex, when they both want to, just because of pregnancy?

it doesn't scare the baby (unless he's big and knocks on the door Wink)

Fairyjen · 25/10/2012 21:41

Not disgusting. My dp wouldn't do it tho Sad op are you mr fairy?????

I was horny as fuck tho so did plenty of other stuff [hwink]

MumsGoToReykjavik · 25/10/2012 21:44

Fairyjen - send yourself to the naughty pregnancy step. I will join you. Wine?

lucyellenmum · 25/10/2012 21:45

could we have a burger and chips or coke emoticon for half term please?

But lets be serious for a minute, i would imagine that SOME folk would be uncomfortable having sex whilst pregnent. A good friend of mine finds pregnant tummies a turn off (he is very squeemish) although to be fair they are on baby number two now so clearly it didn't put him off for life!! Might be different with your own. Some people worry about hurting the baby haivng sex when pregnant.

On the other hand, my DP found me extra sexy when i was pregnant, in fact the first thing he wanted to do when i announced my surprise pregnancy was um, well, celebrate.

catsmother · 25/10/2012 21:46

What a strange post. Not necessarily for its subject matter but for the fact there's no explanation as to why it's apparently disgusting .......

DunderMifflin · 25/10/2012 21:52

Mmmm... fecundity!

I had hyperemesis in my pg and the one and only time I felt well enough to even try to get busy with poor old DH, I threw up on him. He stopped asking after that.

Bless him. He's a patient man :)

SirBoobAlot · 25/10/2012 23:06

I think some blokes get freaked out by the idea of sex during pregnancy because they think they are rather more well endowed than they really are.

Are you one of those, OP?

HoneyDragon · 25/10/2012 23:11

Or they are scared they'll hear the baby giggling at it?

BegoniaBampot · 25/10/2012 23:18

I was extra horny when pregnant, orgasms stronger and qucker etc, seems others felt the same - anyone know the reason for this? Anyone, anyone...

TheBigJessie · 25/10/2012 23:42

Actually, I think an increase in the female's libido coupled with continued/increased sexual attraction from the male would be evolutionarily beneficial.

Increased bonding between a couple, post-conception, pre-birth, can only be beneficial, surely?

slatternlymother · 25/10/2012 23:44

Yawn. More lazy journalism?

Zzz

IneedAsockamnesty · 25/10/2012 23:48
