Ok, £2 million quid for a house. Not a mansion. And not in Chelsea, or even in London.

So what do you put as the cover photo?

A shot at a weird angle showing off all the hideous 1970s fugliness of the houss:

And then a few photos making it look cramped.

Same house, different agent:

It looks much nicer all round.

I mean obviously it's still hideous for £2 million, but still.

Iodine, no, we haven't looked at Shere. In fact, I hadn't even heard of it until you suggested it. Thanks for the recommendation.

It's very small but has a nice, safe feel to it. I havn't lived there, only driven through and visited the doctors. The whole area is really nice around there. I would probably avoid looking at Woking, I really didn't get a nice feel there.

It must be a nightmare deciding where to move to from so far away!

Sanderstead has no pubs because of the Quakers. The Good Companions is Hamsey Green. Have Lidl actually got planning to build? I know they had the planning to knock it down but it didn't mention the rebuilding part.

Loving SoCro Grin

went to a work do in New Addington once with a boyfriend - i was openmouthed driving through it. I was only about 17 and had never seen anything like it before. I take it nothing's changed in 20 years?

Warlingham is luffly

You are all nuts I honestly think that house is beautiful and I'd be over the moon if it were mine.

That's not just a naice deli, it is an Italian naice deli.

MrsTerryPratchett · 25/10/2012 18:45

See, we have naice ham, it is a hop, skip and a jump to the up and coming trendy place to be...

Vintage Cranleigh is a lovely small town but there is no train station and the nimbys are blocking the reconstruction.

Shere is more of a rural village.

Shalford/Bramley is quite nice if you want something closer to Guildford, about a mile or so by bike (all downhill - in one direction)

It's worse in Germany, I have seen on Immo24 - dirty pants next to bed, full cat litter tray, kitchen full of washing up etc. My friend (very successful agent) rented out my house and was amused that I had cleaned up and tidied all the stuff room by room when we did the photos. She was laughing "oh Art, nobody cares...Haha" I care though, I don't want to look like a slattern on the internet!

ArtVandelay · 25/10/2012 22:42

Irrelevant post as everyone is discussing districts not photos - sorry :)

They don't do pictures well here either in the UAE. How about this for £760,000, they don't really do property descriptions well either.

Though if you have £2.5million to spend then you could live here
