To think that a police car should park properly and not half in my bay!

I was in Asda on Friday with my two charges so parked at the back of car park where hardly no one parks.
I came back to find a police car half parked in my bay so I couldn't get door open and a ridiculous angle. I knew they weren't on an emergency as they were casually getting a McDonald's.

AIBU to expect the officer driving to park in the designated bay like every one else?

HeinousHecate · 21/10/2012 16:36

not at all.

I hope you went up to them and asked them to move!

OldMumsy · 21/10/2012 16:38

The plice can be arses as can anyone else, they are after all only warranted members of the public.

nancy75 · 21/10/2012 16:39

Yanbu, at Dds school there is often a traffic camera car to catch people parking badly, it is, without fail always parked on the zig zags

Dordeydoo · 21/10/2012 16:40

I waited for about 5mins and they arrived back to find a screaming baby and me rather pissed off. Politely as I could I said don't you know how to park!

Did you ask for an announcement at the shop?

:o

I'd really embarass them.

WithoutCaution · 21/10/2012 16:41

You should have taken a picture of their car and uploaded it to youdrivelikeacunt.com Wink

OldMumsy · 21/10/2012 16:42

Without that is a very very good suggestion, this website is a valuable resource.

Dordeydoo · 21/10/2012 16:42

Without caution - ill bear that in mind.
The police officer justified his parking with he had to be quick incase a call came in Angry

does youdrivelikeacunt.co really exist

i've got a picture of a Squad car in a P&C space Grin

HeinousHecate · 21/10/2012 18:46

I disagree with them.

If they were attending an incident then yes, they should not be expected to concern themselves with how they park.

But they were just doing to get some food. There is no reason why they can't park properly.

HeinousHecate · 21/10/2012 18:46

going not doing

redwhiteandblueeyedsusan · 21/10/2012 18:48

dame, yes and there are quite a few opictures of police cars on there.

Latara · 21/10/2012 18:48

I would have made them get me a MacDonald's to apologise :)

Dordeydoo · 21/10/2012 18:50

I was tempted to just try and squeeze the kids in leaving scratch and dent marks on the car

You are so NBU! This kind if thing REALLY gets on my wick! As for the excuse....please!
It's really annoys me the way the police also regularly break the speed limits too, how on earth can one have respect for them??

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 21/10/2012 19:26

Spatsky · 21/10/2012 19:26
