First post: in at the deep end...
Sorry for the Torygraph link but I just read this article. AIBU to think that the woman talks sense? I'll be ttc very soon and will most likely give birth in London where the maternity units are already stretched. Frankly it worries me. My father worked for the NHS so I do know that there are problems with the current system and yes some things need to change. But surely not maternity services/other frontline services when there is so much other crap that could go first.
We're in the US at the moment and are currently wading through the minefield that is the US health insurance system. However much we like to moan about the NHS it appalls me that there is a chance that we could be moving more towards a system like that. It just feels like they are slowly chipping away at our options.
