I see why your mum didn't report it, as being hit on could be explained away if you see what I mean? But those who witnessed child abuse should have tried harder to report it IMO.

(I don't mean to belittle something which was clearly not nice for your mum HKat, I just mean there would be no evidence - her word against his, and sometimes it is how people say things that makes them inapropriate rather than what is said. And I think it would have been a horrible positionb to be in for her. But with the case I am thinking of they could probably have obtained proof that he had harmed that child, and the adult in the other room should have gone to the police IMO)

Glad you understood what I meant HKat, feeling foggy today so not making myself very clear lol. Just didn't want to offend anyone.
It must have been horrible to go through for everyone at the reciving end of any of JS advances.
I do feel that had those who witnessed him first hand doing anything where there would be evidence should have tried harder. But I wasn't there, and can only judge by todays standards and what lengths I would have gone to to safe guard a child.

Because they are decent and he wasn't.
