When I look at the top of the page and my inbox has a little glowing envelope?

I only ever really PM 2 people (who I knew before joining MN) and I've only ever had nice PMs from other posters.

So why when I see it light up, do I always get that funny little feeling?

You know like when the phone rings after 9pm or there's a knock at the door at an odd time of the day/night? Grin

Am I alone in this? Blush

Softly I read that as you've just 'dicked' your inbox Shock

I was going to remark on how flexible you are...

BrianButterfield · 06/10/2012 23:06

"Have you got a minute?" at work = brown trousers time.

WorraLiberty · 06/10/2012 23:06

I was also going to remark on the fact you've grown a penis

But how and why you did that, is no concern of mine....

Flexible and a hermaphrodite.

Handy sometimes

minesapintofwine · 06/10/2012 23:08

When certain people ring my landline (work, mil etc) I'm always too anxious to answer it straight away in case I'm in bad books so wait for them to leave a message. The message always says...'mines can you ring me back' so am none the wiser and then I get really nervous!

Oh and I hate 'can I just say something' and 'can I have a word' followed by door closing. Gulp Blush

Nagoo · 06/10/2012 23:10

I LOVE it.

and I got loads at MOOG organisation time. I should have left one in there just so the little spot could wink at me Grin

WorraLiberty · 06/10/2012 23:11

Softly Grin

I like.... "Can I ask you a question?"

I always reply with.... "Yes and you've just proved that. Seeya later"

What's a MOOG organisation?

Sounds like something run by a bald hard man with a fluffy white cat

Iodine · 06/10/2012 23:19

"I've got a bone to pick with you, Iodine" Said by my dad EVEN now makes my stomach sink into my boots and worry about what I've done wrong.

Nagoo · 06/10/2012 23:20

people say 'can I ask you a question?' Grin

Moog was the orgy of giving.

I accidentally C&P a link to a cock ring trying to do that. It's been a fun night.

WorraLiberty · 06/10/2012 23:23

Oh right Grin

I get terrified by "Can I have a word?" at work - but I have been horrendously bullied in my former career.

My inbox flashing does make me panic a bit if I've just disagreed with someone. I don't answer landline calls from numbers I don't know and I've been known to hide upstairs if someone knocks the front door. Blush

bonnieslilsister · 06/10/2012 23:34

I always get panicky and feel guilty when I see a police car or man/woman I have no idea why cos I live a pretty boring life and dont break the law!

WorraLiberty · 06/10/2012 23:34

It could be a long night steppemum, I can just imagine you sitting up all night staring at the illuminated envelope with a little smile on your face Grin

WorraLiberty · 06/10/2012 23:36

bonnie and supermarket security guards

I can never look one in the eye...despite never having stolen anything in my life!

I think you should wrap yourself, your family and your whole house in tinfoil sooty

You just can't be too careful...

I feel like this whenever I get a brown envelope through the door !

maras2 · 06/10/2012 23:41

I bloody love it.Unfortunately it's only ever happened twice in 4 years.If I could,I'd PM myself.

bonnieslilsister · 06/10/2012 23:41

For some reason security guards don't bother me....it is a mystery

ilovesooty · 06/10/2012 23:41

Worra Grin

BasicallySFB · 06/10/2012 23:43

I only got them following a mightily awful ruck (I've NC - several times - since to stay incognito such are my scars!) and a donation to a particularly upsetting blanket donation.

I may start sending messages ....
