I have found that some spots, if not squeezed, take an age to disappear and then they come back from the dead.

I had one the other day that just wouldn't go. It of got a bit scabby but didn't get any less. I picked the stab off it, squeezed, and a hard bit of white came out. Problem solved.

AIBU to think most spots need to be squeezed until they run clear, and that it is the picking of the scab (of which I am guilty) that causes scars etc?

The white ones have to be squeezed. Absolutely. Not only do they look mingling but imagine all that pus (dead bacteria) lurking under your skin. And yes in my experience the pimple heals faster if the white lump is squeezed out completely until clear pus runs out. Maybe even a tinge of blood. A good sign. Lol...

Generally spots don't contain pus. White ones contain sebum unexposed to air, blackheads contain sebum exposed to air. You can extract either with a comedone extractor. If the spot is inflamed or pussy go and see a doctor.

if you squeeze untill blood comes out youve squeezed to much but if i squeeze your spot untill it bleeds and you complaine then your being wet.

As a child I stayed over at my aunt's often and remember walking into her bedroom in the early evening seeing her squeezing out my uncle's pimply back. Maybe that early childhood experience helped seal in my mind my attitude to zits. I was lucky though, have never suffered from acne. I'm not sure its a good idea to squeeze them if one's face is covered in them. Maybe not...

I do get the urge to squeeze the spots of others if they have got a definite white head on them. I don't know why anyone would leave them like that

Boak in relation to thinking of all your spots but yes any with a cheesy head to. Problem is when u do you need some touch eclait (posh yes I knwo but the best!) To cover the red area u make. Did it at work the other day and I had a big red mark and no cover up. Makes me want to heave looking at a cheesy spot especially on someone's lip or end of nose ahhhhhh
