Sorry to be boring, and go back to the bullying business, but just want to chuck in my 2 cents worth. I first posted as a newbie about a year and a half ago about something that was (I thought) fairly innocuous, and got flamed quite badly (called a fuckwit, etc) and it did start off with one or two people having a go, then suddenly everyone piled in. I have no idea if they were regulars or not, but it upset me at the time (I was probably super naive!) Separately, I also felt really intimidated by the people who were obviously mates, a bit like if you walked into a room and a load of loud, fun people were all sharing jokes and laughing. You might want to join in, but it's scary! That's not the fault of the big group, just human nature, I guess. Reading these threads have been an eye opener though, I want to join in now, and I don't care if you all reject me, I'm just going to have a go (please don't reject me...)

My thread about my piss smelling dog definitely does not fall into the serious section.

Notafoodbaby, that sounds pretty shit. When you're new and that happens I can see how horrible that is. I didn't post for ages as I was so worried about something like that happening to me, so actually I'm pretty impressed that you just plunged in like that. Not like wussypants here...

Yay! High kicks might bring an unwelcome gust of wind (I blame the pregnancy) but I'm pretty competent with my jazz hands. Mongolia... Hmmm. Wouldn't pick it myself, but wouldn't want to judge someone who has (backing slowly out of this minefield)

Thanks for the kind words. I think it's easy to think that everyone must be a regular and therefore represent the culture of MN when you are new, maybe that's where some of the comments about bullying come from. Dunno. Anyway, on another note, the thread about the cat dribble was hilarious.
