YAcertainlyNBU. Or perhaps we're both being unreasonable. Everyone wanting to save me money wants me to make the decision to do what they're suggesting instantly. That's enough to make you cynical.

i ask them how much they would charge go i only pay (half the price they mentioned) see what they say then say i dont do these things on the phone - if i think it was a good deal less than paying look on the internet at t&c's etc etc - i've never changed yet though these 'great deals' only last a matter of weeks then usually cost loads

Well I am not alone I give sales calls short (but polite) shrift tbh - I don't get many and usually they are from my current providers - don't like call centre bods calling me - I call them at my convenience. Nothing personal they are just doing their job but it is rare that I get any truly good deals offered unless I am calling them to say I am leaving the service provider (especially Virgin). Which is enough to make anyone cynical.
