Three xmases ago, after best part of a bottle of Baileys, I decided that I absolutely must have some sprout racing crackers from Hawkins Bazaar, and to get free postage I order a sudoku rubix cube.

Which is still sitting on the shelf in its original packaging because it would be impossible to do and I cant think of anyone who would want it!

I think mobile phones should have an auto shut down if it sense alcohol and only allows you to call 999 and a taxi!

I did, and by bottle number two there was no point fighting it anymore. The knowledge that I am soon going to have a Lego Christmas Toyshop with a snowman and a jack-in-the-box and carol singers and snowmen got me through a fairly testing hangover this morning.

I agree, some wanker bid on my eBay item last night, then decided it wasn't actually the one they wanted and the next highest bidder had already bought another one so I'm going to have to relist it. Aaarrrgghhh! It was very clear in the description so they were either drunk or a twunt.

email programmes should simply refuse to operate after 2 glasses of wine/11 o'clock/take your pick. At least in the olden days, you could tear up a letter you'd written. Now - by the morning, the email's long gone and you have to suffer the consequences!

A few months ago was very drunk went and ordered a trampoline( not that it would of fitted in the garden), luckily it wasn't processed yet so was able to cancel.

I went for an afternoon drink with a friend when it was sunny and drank more then expected.

Totally pissed we decided to go shopping around town. We went to primark and spent at least 30 pound each in there.

We must have had a competition to see who could buy the worse clothes as I had a union Jack dress, think Geri in Spice Girls! A horrid bikini and some horrible underwear!

My mate had some legging with bad patterns, some huge sun glasses with gems all over them, shoes that were sizes too big!

We had to go back the next day and get a refund.

So bank cards should have a breathe analyser!

My heart sunk and I saw her look at her phone when she received the text - but then she didn't say anything.

I just come clean and apologised. Luckily it was only light gossip and nothing nasty but I have learnt my lesson.

My reasoning is based on real life example.

In early 2000s (might have been late nineties) Australia decided that installing breathalysers in pubs was a really good idea, so that people could make sure they were under the limit after a drink or two.

But there was a problem.

It wasn't the fact that your blood alcohol could continue to rise after you took the test. And it wasn't that it encouraged people to have a drink rather than stay completely dry.

Nope.

The problem was that it encouraged competitive drinking and people were using the machines to discover who was really the most messed up, drunk by comparing their blood alcohol levels. Obviously the higher the better (and more dangerous).

I suspect that installing breathalysers in laptops would cause carnage on MN....
