If anyone has a teenage DS, you may understand.

But I swear to almighty Christ if my DS says to me one more time "FIFA 13 is out today" I may have to throw the ps3 out of the window.

Sorry.

Rant over.

Thankyou God mine just arrived in the post. I was getting worried that it wouldn't arrive and i would end up having to drive into town to get another copy before school chucks out.

Sparklingbrook · 28/09/2012 13:37

Don't know about Microsoft points. Is it like Playstation Store for the XBox?

Sparklingbrook · 28/09/2012 13:39

DS1 has just announced he is 'the Head coach at Paraguay'. Wink

Is this a good time to mention getting on with his school project do you think?

cheekypickle · 28/09/2012 13:41

DS had a paddy because the postman didn't bring it .... Boo hoo!!

CiderwithBuda · 28/09/2012 13:46

Well I am going to plead ignorance! I know nothing about any Ultimate thingy. I havent been here. You haven't seen me. OK?

sugarice · 28/09/2012 15:19

Ooooh it's like Christmas here, the wonder of brand new shiny FIFA!! Grin

sugarice · 28/09/2012 15:25

shall we be Tottenham
It's mint.
sweet.
I'm gonna be Bayern, no Man City, ahh this is so sick!
Garcia is sooooo good!.[who?]

A number of thoughts expressed in the last two minutes, it's going to be a sick night!

Sparklingbrook · 28/09/2012 15:30

DS2 is due back any minute. I envisage some sort of disagreement within 5 minutes of him coming through the door. Hmm

AphraBehn · 28/09/2012 15:36

Microsoft points are a way of extorting even more money out of you for upgrades, personalised content etc. You can buy them online or with a voucher.
If you are unaware of them I suggest you carry on in blisfull ignorance.

Guiltypleasures001 · 28/09/2012 16:03

Oh god the fifa 13 tales from the crypt, I have read every post on here and am nodding along sagely, its exactly like the time line in our house, I have also had it with the but its snot the ultimate costs another 10 quid addition bla bla, told him to pay for it himself next time then.

have also got the first week in Nov cod crisis to go yet, and lets not forget the W13 as well wrestling game...sigh

SoupDragon · 28/09/2012 16:43

Microsoft points are a way of extorting even more money out of you

They are also a way of bribing your children to do certain chores. Especially when you can buy the points cheaper online so they think they're getting £10 worth when actually it's only cost you £7.

lemonpie7 · 28/09/2012 17:39

DS has been saving up for it for months. He had an inset day today, and went into town to get it. I've not heard a peep from him all afternoon, ( although he appears to be addressing the referee on the screen quite regualry) Who cares! There are worse things our DC could be saving up for or playing!

Sparklingbrook · 28/09/2012 17:40

Same here lemon. FIFA13 Inset day. Grin

SparkyDuchess · 28/09/2012 18:10

Amazon let us down! It was despatched, but there was no sign of it. Mug that i am, I took DS to Tesco after school and got one. But it's not the ultimate version, so his cunning plan is to get the add-ons when the Amazon one arrives, and then flog off one of the games.

I should have told him he'd have to wait, but he's been counting the days since we pre-ordered in July.

takeonboard · 28/09/2012 18:25

God the queues in Sainsbury's! Apparently they are the cheapest - FIFA 13 for X Box360 £35. Everyone was buying them and they had tons, just kept filling the shelves up and the guy said its been like that since midnight ....what bloody recession Grin

TantrumsAndGoldAndOrange · 28/09/2012 18:26

Oh thank god he managed to get it on the way home from football.

The ultimate, whatever the f that is.

I don't care, it will keep him and ds2 amused tonight.

TheCountessOlenska · 28/09/2012 18:31

Glad to know it's not just my (fully grown adult apparently) DH who has been counting down the days!

Oh well, it's harmless enough IMO - at least it's not online gambling or hooker websites

TantrumsAndGoldAndOrange · 28/09/2012 18:34

That's what I always think Grin

At least I know ds1 is

TantrumsAndGoldAndOrange · 28/09/2012 18:34

...playing FIFA rather than watching porn.

Sorry pressed send to soon :(

WinklyFriedChicken · 28/09/2012 18:35

A man I work with took a half day today so he could play it for 4 hours before his wife got home and made him talk to her Hmm

TantrumsAndGoldAndOrange · 28/09/2012 18:39

That's brilliant. That sounds like something my DH would do for COD.

Mum2Luke · 28/09/2012 19:08

My ds has been surprisingly very good today Hmm I wonder why haha. He is getting it for Christmas though, told him I just have not got £40 at the moment.

I will not be giving in to 'you are mean' or any other bullying tactics like 'my mates will bully me' as I would say they are rubbish friends then. He is good as I never give in, same as the XBox live, he's not having that either for a while.

Jakadaal · 28/09/2012 19:13

Just rented one from Blockbusters for a week - hopefully DS will decide he doesn't like it by then!

Annunziata · 28/09/2012 19:15

They've never been so quiet, I'm scared.

I was treated to a twenty minute debate over the much enhanced attacking system over dinner... thanks.
