To think a 15 year old CANNOT be "in a relationship" with a 30 year old man.

She is under the age of consent.

He has groomed, manipulated and abused her.

They are NOT in a relationship. He is a grown man and she is a child. He is a paedophile and she is his victim!

Even the bbc news referred to them as being in a relationship.

We do not know do we that they have in fact had sex?

If I were the parent of the girl, I would now be less worried about their having had sex (or not) and more that he has nothing left; no career, no family, no wife, no access for children, facing jail and the sex offenders register. I would be worried about him entering into some crazy suicide pact with the impressionable girl. He has nowhere to go. Her being pregnant by him is not the worst caase scenario here.

Somebody told me today that she is barely 15. So the relationship could have started when she was 14. Most news reports avoid mentioning her exact age. I don't think it's spliltting hairs because a year is a long time at that age.

barely 15, it gets worse doesn't it. Yes, Fobwatch I'm inclined to think the way you are now. Think I read somewhere that he's commited a voilent act against his wife/another woman??? I may be wrong though.

The exact nature of possible charges is a matter for future consideration, in light of the as full an account of all circumstances as can be established.

The version coming out in various news bulletins are making it less,not more, clear (and o course the authorities may be holding back confidential information). The ITV news this evening said that the police were involved, phones ad been examined, investigation was continuing, the school had been advised to suspend the teacher, and the school had informed him of a suspension on Wednesday. And of course they vanished on Thursday.
