Direwolves, and furs, and winter cloaks. Then start gazing in a steely manner into the distance and accusing royalty of incest...

Looks limited in the eye.

solidgoldbrass · 24/09/2012 12:20

Come on, what are you talking about really? Is it Lord Of The Ringpiece again?

crazygracieuk · 24/09/2012 12:21

Game of Thrones

limitedperiodonly · 24/09/2012 12:23

Pokes manic in eye with small dagger concealed about my person.

aldiwhore · 24/09/2012 12:24

Keep an eye on your youngest son, and make sure that you don't attend too many weddings.

Just finished the last so far, boy are you in for some ranty treats if you're not their yet.

SO want to post shocking spoilers, but there are too many. Farrrrr too many. I must have thrown each book at the wall twice, cheered many times and cried more than is healthy.

manicbmc · 24/09/2012 12:25

Gets someone else to deal with limited

Grin wish I didn't have to go to work now.

BrittaPerry · 24/09/2012 12:30

I'm purposefully only reading each book after watching the corresponding tv series, so i'm only at the end of book two. Might give in and read book three soon though...

Xnedra · 24/09/2012 12:31

Read the books, they are awwwwwsome!

BrittaPerry · 24/09/2012 12:31

Rickon?? I knew he would do more!

No, no, no, don't tell me!

For the night is dark, and full of spoilers...

OP posts:
aldiwhore · 24/09/2012 12:33

Ha! Wink Won't spoil.

I was going to follow the TV series too, only I didn't... bought the set from amazon (£2-£3 per book - woot!) and devoured them.

Now tapping my fingers for the Winds of Winter, though I heard tell they wouldn't be released until 2013!! Argh!

BrittaPerry · 24/09/2012 12:36

Up to book/series two, who would you sa s the biggest dickhead of Westeros?

I think it is a toss up between Joffrey and Theon Greyjoy. Joffery is a spoilt brat and a terrible king, but Theon Greyjoy is just a knob.

ShavingPrimateRyan · 24/09/2012 12:37

Hodor.

aldiwhore · 24/09/2012 12:38

Don't diss Hodor!!

Xnedra · 24/09/2012 12:39

We'll be lucky Aldiwhore.
Dance of Dragons was supposed to be out for dd2's birth, she was born in 2008 and it came out last year.

BrittaPerry · 24/09/2012 12:40

YANBU.

We Do Not Iron.

crazygracieuk · 24/09/2012 12:41

I've hard that the tv series might have caught up by the time the next book is ready.

aldiwhore · 24/09/2012 12:42

I know Xnedra I wish I hadn't discovered them until they were complete... I'm starting them again though as I did speed read them.

BrittaPerry That's tough really, they're all flawed. Depends on whether its favourite character, favourite to be king, or favourite prick!! Wink

I love this series so much, I love falling in and out of love with the characters, being surprised how much I LOVE the characters I thought I hated, and how much I want to shake those I thought were heroes.

Handsfulloffun · 24/09/2012 12:43

Crap I was hoping the new book would be out soon, I have nearly finished book 3 and looking forward to the next one already.

LittleWhiteWolf · 24/09/2012 12:43

Am nearly at the end of A Feast For Crows having bought all the books for my DHs birthday in June. I have totally overtaken him and am ensuring that I spoil him at every turn. Grin

I was reading A Storm of Swords Part 2 in the bath and DH came in to find me in tears at a Certain Part.

Xnedra · 24/09/2012 12:45

The series has been cast so brilliantly IMO, I don't love Jon quite as much as I do in the books, and I want to marry Rhagaer, even though he's never been alive in 'book time'.

To compensate I'm rereading the Belgariad (Hence the nickname)

aldiwhore · 24/09/2012 12:47

Not read that, I may have to if it stops me obsessing and daydreaming about Song of Ice and Fire.

Oh Jon, Jon jon jon JONNNNNNN.... sits on hands realises that isn't a good idea, mega crush

Xnedra · 24/09/2012 12:48
Sad
MarysBeard · 24/09/2012 12:48

I know I've already been through this with Harry Potter, as I discovered them when POA was out and have waited impatiently for books/films after then. But GRRM is much more tardy than JK Rowling (though dealing with a lot more complexity, granted). Gah!

I am on ADWD, 75% through, reading deliberately slowly as I know there is no more yet. Also have S2 of the TV series to watch on DVD when it comes out.

Ah well, at least the first Hobbit film comes out in December.
