adults in schoolwear shop

or rather is hubby? He runs a schoolwear shop which is used a fair deal by kids at the local schools and independants as well. Recently he he received an email supposedly from an adult asking to come in and try on a uniform and buy (full blazer, jumper, skirt getup). First time he ignored, emailed again and he politely said they only have childrens sizes. He just doesn't think its appropriate and also unhygenic if an adult trys on stuff that later goes to a child. Why would an adult want a real school uniform?

I think it is very important that your shop will not become a target of this particular "fetish scene", before you know it word will get around and your husbands shop will be inundated with adults wanting uniform for sexual purposes.

You risk alienating your real customers.

Maybe he can politely direct this particular customer to shops that specialize in Fetish wear?

He would need to ascertain whether the uniform is for a child or an adult.

Maybe be writing back asking what school said child is attending and what year group?

Well my husband (can you really not say hubby these days??) is very amused at the varying opinions that have come up so thank you for that. I can't answer all the questions but the emails in question apparently did say it was an adult buying for themselves not a child but not if man or woman. Im glad someone raised the crossdresser idea as that did cross his mind, though he accepts 'unhygenic' is going a little far. The fetish element is almost definitely a concern for him as he wants it to be a family friendly place, not populated by fetishists openly buying for themselves. If an adult buys a uniform pretending its for a child and knows their exact sizes without trying on its a non issue as no-one will know.

You've made our evening.Wine
