Thinking about joining it but how busy does it get at weekends when we really want to use it as a family. I dont envisage going more than once a week during the week but might be a great base at weekends.

I am pretty sure the tennis lessons will be good - just looking at the scheme they have posted up and small class sizes.

Does anyone do private one to one/ one to two swimming lessons with them for children - how good are they/ should I just stick with a company who specialises in swimming? eg swimming nature

I used to be, but moved away after a year.

I didn't have any children at the time, but I loved it and am still friends with one of the trainers and several ladies I met by signing up for tennis groups.

It does get busy, and you have to be on the ball when it comes to booking courts well in advance. But I used to go with my husband on a Saturday morning and never noticed it to be particularly crowded, although maybe a bit noisier with a few more families in the indoor pool. We just used to go outside even in winter, and swim in the outdoor pool instead.

Honestly, I miss it still. I have joined a few gyms since as we moved about, but if we were ever living in north London again I'd be back there in a heartbeat, ridiculously expensive and all as it was.
